Biograpy

Rachel B. Herrmann is a Lecturer in Modern American History at Cardiff University. Her first book, an edited collection, is titled To Feast on Us as Their Prey: Cannibalism and the Early Modern Atlantic, and is out now. Her first monograph, No Useless Mouth: Waging War and Fighting Hunger in the American Revolution, will be published in November with Cornell University Press. Her previous work on cannibalism, food, and hunger has appeared in the William and Mary Quarterly, Slavery & Abolition, Diplomatic History, and Labor: Studies of Working-Class Histories of the Americas. She is a co-founder of The Junto: A Group Blog on Early American History.
